Used 5" hole saw and 21" piece of 4" corrigated pipe.
Pulls cold air off ground and just behind front bumper.

Remember your high priced cold air intake or high flow
under the hood intake is sucking hot engine air.

The Best hitch combination money can buy.

I have now had a chance to tow with the new hitch.
I have now re-located the tool box toward the rear next
to the hitch and away from the front of the bed.
That gives me storage in front of the box.

The main reason why we purchased both RV and truck hitches was prompted by the un-easy ride of the TrailAir hitch that was purchased with our Cedar Creek DayDreamer RV.  The original hitch did nothing for the jerking of the truck.  Also we added a second shock to the TrailAir which helped a little but the bounce was un-bearable.  Our last trip out west we actually bent the shock mounting bolts.  With retirement around the corner we wanted as smooth a ride as possible.  After trying a Fifth Airborne hitch we knew we were going to have to get radical to satisfy our three doxies that always travel with us.  After doing my research I made a deal with Demco and Hitch Crafters.  After watching both videos I felt two shock absorbers would be a good idea.  The built in air compressor with computer controlled auto-leveling system is the cat's meow.  This hitch utilizes the double pivot low profile Binkley FW0001 5th wheel mount.  We also utilized the under bed mounting system already on the truck from the previously mounted Signature hitch.  The under bed mounts and hitch had a little movement in these due to the way they are designed.  The cracks and pops the Signature had was always disturbing to both my wife and I.  The new hitches and mount combinations in this system has absolutely no movement and are very quiet.  The other experience that moved us toward overkill in both designs was a meeting of two Rver's at a campground in our county a month ago.  They experienced a head on collision with a stopped vehicle about a year ago.  The collision was only about 5 mph.  Yet the damage it did to their RV hitch with mounting rails was devastating.  The front rail was bent four inches down through the truck bed and the rear rail was likewise in the opposite direction.  As we all know many Rver's are traveling down the road with heavy 15k rigs with 15 & 16k hitches.  Think about it....

I must clarify a few facts.  I am aware that there are 3500 duallys out there with fifth wheels and air bag type hitches that ride well.  As for mine it did not.  My RV normally travels weighing in the range of 24k - 26k (GCVW) (Truck/RV) with a pin weight from 3400 to 3900 pounds.  On a recent 6000 mile trip through the Rockies we traveled roads that were horrible.  The truck and RV bucked and chucked.  At times we slowed down to 50mph.  We did our research and decided to purchase the Demco Glide Ride.  We were even offered a brand new Fifth Airborne hitch for free.  We turned the offer down.  Within minutes of finishing the install we hooked to the RV and drove 25 miles down I-85 in central NC.  The ramps on and off the bridge overpasses were hit at 75mph.  I have to say I am totally amazed at the difference this hitch has made.  The "universal" model replaced the TrailAir L05 model.  Also be aware that I received slight compensation for this ad.
